BBNaija star, Natacha Akide (better known as Tacha), has called out Nigerians living in the UK for allegedly ignoring her when they saw her in public. In a recent video posted on social media, the reality star shared her frustration about how several Nigerians deliberately avoided greeting her, despite recognizing her.

Tacha shared that during her outing, she encountered multiple Nigerians but was left ignored. According to her, many saw her but chose not to say hello, which left her feeling disappointed.
“You guys would not believe that I saw so many Nigerians today, which was great. But the craziest part is that they would see you and won’t say hi to you.”
Interestingly, Tacha mentioned that the people who did acknowledge her were not Nigerians. She received compliments from a local high school student and even an elderly man, something she found touching in stark contrast to her interactions with fellow Nigerians.
Addressing the situation, Tacha issued a stern warning to Nigerians abroad, urging them to offer respect if they happen to see her. She made it clear that while she doesn’t expect anyone to greet her, it’s disrespectful to record her without a simple acknowledgment.
“Let me sound this warning clearly: if you see me on the road and don’t say hi to me, it’s fine. I don’t need anybody to say hi to me, and I’m not going to say hi to you either. But don’t bring out your phone to record me.”
The video quickly went viral, sparking a wave of reactions online. Many fans and followers voiced support for Tacha, stating that she deserves recognition as a public figure and shouldn’t be treated with disrespect.
However, some critics disagreed, suggesting that Nigerians abroad may be too preoccupied with their own struggles and challenges to engage with celebrities. One commenter suggested that the busy nature of life in the UK may have contributed to people’s lack of interaction, regardless of Tacha’s fame.
